PRACTICE CONCENTRATION:

 

  • Federal Employee Rights.  Whitney zealously represents federal government employees before Merit System Protection Board (MSPB), EEOC, union grievance arbitrations, Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA), and in defense against disciplinary proceedings. Prior to joining Legal Justice at Work, PLLC, Whitney worked as agency counsel for the Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, representing the government in MSPB, EEOC, and arbitration proceedings. As former agency counsel, Whitney also has extensive knowledge and experience of the disciplinary process for federal employees including adverse actions brought under Chapter 75, Chapter 74, Chapter 43, and 38 U.S.C. Section 714. Previously, Whitney was also an employment attorney for the House Employment Counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing member offices in complex labor and employment matters.
